Our June lecture will be presented by Lauren Kingsland of Washington Grove, MD. Lauren has been making quilts professionally since 1988. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and shows and is in public and private collections throughout the country. She is dedicated to quilt making as a medium for storytelling, for building community and for healing and wellness. She is a visiting artist with the Arts and Humanities program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital Washington, D.C. Every meeting features a “Show & Tell” time. Bring your finished quilts to display, with the opportunity to show and talk about it to the guild. We LOVE seeing quilts and especially love the stories that go with the quilts!
