6:30 p.m. – Program:
This month’s program will be presented by Judy Gula. Her lecture is titled “Embellishments Explained & Illustrated”. You can visit her website at www.artisticartifacts.com.
Judy’s art quilts are all embellished, whether selectively or lushly. In this lecture/trunk show, she shows off a variety of popular embellishments and explains how she has used them — and how you can too! Embellishments include Angelina fibers, paint, buttons, beads and more. Judy will also briefly describe the processes behind several surface design techniques: block printing with wooden printing blocks, monoprinting using a Gelli Arts™ Gel Printing Plate and more. These techniques result in beautiful, one of a kind fabric to include in your textile projects.
Around 7:45 p.m. – Business Meeting
Around 8:15 p.m. – Show & Tell:
Every meeting features a “Show & Tell” time. Bring your finished quilts to display, with the opportunity to show and talk about it to the guild. We LOVE seeing quilts and especially enjoy the stories that go with the quilts!
