Block of the Month:

The QOL Block of the Month (BOM) is created using monthly directions provided by our members. Instructions are provided to complete two blocks of your quilt each month. By the end of the program, you’ve finished a beautiful, full-size quilt, without being overwhelmed. In November, those who created these beautiful quilts display to the QOL members.

Mystery Quilt:

Quilting on the Line members enjoy the mystery quilt where the final design is kept secret until the very end. Instead of seeing the full layout up front, quilters receive a series of “clues” that are released monthly that guide them through piecing the quilt. It turns quilting into a creative adventure. Many quilters describe it as a blend of puzzle-solving, storytelling, and skill-building all stitched into one project.

Quilt Challenge:

A Quilt Challenge is an organized event to create a quilted project that expresses each quilter’s interpretation of a common theme. It can be absolutely fascinating to see how a single, common theme can be expressed so differently by each participant in the challenge.

Round Robin:

A round robin quilt is always made by a group of quilters. To start, everyone who wants to participate makes a block for the center. There can be all kinds of rules for size, color, theme, etc. for both the center block and each round. Each block is then passed to another quilter in your group. This quilter adds the first border. Then the next quilter adds the second. This continues until there are three borders that have been sewn by three different quilters. The quilter who made the center block then gets the quilt top back to keep and finish. Reminder that we will try to start more groups in the March meeting. See the February Newsletter for more information.
