Sew For Vets is a volunteer organization that sews personal care items which are then given to veterans. It operates out of at the Delta Senior Center and meets twice monthly from January to June and from September to November. Members are dedicated to helping veterans.
Quilting On the Line was well represented at Sew for Vets’ annual Community Sew Day which was held on May 18th at the Delta Senior Center. Participants worked together making 25 reversible fleece hats. The hats are made from two layers of fleece, and they will be distributed to veterans.
QOL members Anita Lowe, Virginia Buckingham, Debby Nelson, Sandra Johnson, Susan Kern, and Mary Banister sewed on the project. Sew For Vets was very pleased to have such capable hands helping
